about:

The Zornography Project is a musical experience conceived by Nathan Holaway in order to celebrate the diverse music of maverick composer John Zorn.  In addition to highlighting Zorn's vast catalogue, Holaway sought to bring musicians together from various backgrounds in a rare musical setting.

The first Zornography concert was held at 600 Studios in Tuscaloosa (AL) on November 7-8, 2003. Presented in partial fulfillment of Holaway's graduate degree (M.M. Jazz), this concert featured a wide variety of musical styles. Joining Holaway on stage were 12 additional musicians from the West Alabama region. Zornography II was held at the Moody Concert Hall on campus at the University of Alabama's School of Music on November 5th, 2004.

Nathan Holaway is the Artistic and Musical Director for the Zornography Project. Responsibilities included: transcribing and arranging the artist’s music, coordinating and managing space for rehearsals and performances, advertising, project webmaster, conductor, and performer (saxophone and clarinet).
